A rainfait of an hour in the morning, proved decisive for the progress of this 42nd edition of the TAC Rally.
With four scratches for Kris Princen, two for Freddy Loix in full management and two for Vincent Verschueren finally recovered from his difficult start to the race; the classification of the TAC Rally hasn't undergone major changes in the second half of the day. Once again, it's cold in the first kilometers of the race, that Fast Freddy surprised all his opponents, benefiting from more efficient tires as the rain made its appearance. The suite was only managing for Loix, who hasn't had to force his talent to win his 39th career victory.
He triumphed with 25"9 ahead of Kris Princen and 1'40"5 of Andy Lefevere.
In Junior BRC, the victory went easily to Polle Geusens, who was yet to leave the class win to Steven Dolfen.
In Historic, a nice duel erupted during the day Dirk Vermeirsch to Stefaan Stouf. After a one-minute penalty imposed on the driver of the Ford Sierra, Stouf and his Porsche were assured of victory. If Paul Lietaer was never far away, the Ford driver had to throw down the gauntlet at the end of the race after an engine worry. It's finally Danny Kerckhof that going up on the 3rd step of the podium.
