New Race Festival Zolder

Kick-off of the Blancpain GT Series was given this weekend under the Belgian sun for the first round of the Sprint Cup, on the track of Zolder. While the Audi WRT team seem have all the cards in hands to barge in on Saturday during the Race 1, it's a passage in the stands that did hang the balance in the clan Lamborghini GRT Grasser Racing Team. A flash stop of the green car, cumulate to a difficult round entry for Dries Vanthoor, offers the victory to Mirko Bortolotti and Christian Engelhart, waas starts the year in strongness. Vanthoor / Stevens finished 2nd at 3.4 seconds. The last step of the podium goes to the Audi WRT of Mies / Riberas before two other Audi's, the Attempto Racing of Schothorst / van der Linde and the WRT of Frijns / Leonard. 7th place and victory in Silver Cup for Picariello / Magnus, who realize a very good start.

After miss out the victory during the Race 1 on Saturday, Dries Vanthoor and Will Stevens (Audi WRT #2) where well start to win on Sunday. A curious penalty, drop the grey car at a 12th place.
The Lamborghini Huracan GRT Grasser Racing Team of Bortolotti / Engelhart slowdown during his pitstop for a harness problem, it's the Audi Attempto Racing #66 of Steijn Schothorst and Kelvin van der Linde inherit of the victory before the Mercedes-AMG AKKA ASP of Marciello / Meadows and the Lamborghini Huracan GRT Racing Team of Caldarelli / Perez Companc. Finishing 6th, Gilles Magnus and Alessio Picariello (Audi WRT #3) won the Silver Cup.
