Sezoensrally
15 to 16 May 2015
Fought in the lovely area of Bocholt, the 39th edition of the Sezoensrally was dominated by Chris Van Woensel, but finally it's Freddy Loix who signed his third victory this year in the Belgian Championship. A symbolically important victory because it's the 13th victory of Freddy Loix with the Skoda Fabia S2000, a car that will be replaced soon by the new Fabia R in Ypres.

While three-quarters of the Sezoensrally had consisted of a beautiful duel between the Mitsubishi Lancer WRC of Chris Van Woensel and the Peugeot 208 T16 R5 of Kris Princen all gone wrong in SS12, Goolder 3, where the events were to multiply. Kris Princen there gave up one minut because of gearbox trouble, what would cause its retirement thereafter. Any profit for Van Woensel? Not at all! In the same stage, Chris went off the road, crashed into a pole which wounded a spectator. Retirement! and stage neutralized.

The race ended once the slow trot for Freddy Loix, who put an end to his victorious career of driving racing car became fetish, before moving to the Fabia R5 as soon in Ypres. By winning this new victory, Fast Freddy of course made a big step forward towards a new title, the zero points of Princen and the lack of Cédric Cherain fully arguing in favor of the Skoda Belgium driver.
The 2nd place went to Vincent Verschueren, who found the gravel of North Limburg for the first time since 2010. On his Citroën DS3 R5, Verschueren made a faultless performance.
The fight for the 3rd place was also intense, and ultimately, it's the Irish Stephen Wright that arose at the wheel of his Ford Fiesta R5, the Dutchman Michel Becx disappearing in the penultimate stage. This podium was obviously likely to delight as his co-driver Eddy Smeets, which evolved at home.

Upon arrival, Parick Snijers was as happy as Freddy Loix as he was this time on arrival in his Porsche 997 GT3, now confided to MI.

In Junior BRC, the victory went to Polle Geusens despite an output and a clutch problem.

It's Frank Jorissen on his Opel Manta 400 which won in Historic before the first leader Dirk Deveux on a Ford Escort Mk II.
